KEEN Utility Men’s PTC Slip On Work Shoe

Let’s face it: There simply aren’t as many nurse-specific shoes for men, so finding something that meets all the criteria of a good nursing shoe can be a challenge.

These KEEN brand male nurse slip-on shoes, however, have most everything you’ll need to keep your feet happy during your long shifts. The tops of the shoes are high-quality leather, while the soles are cushioned rubber. They come with memory foam inserts, making these comfortable shoes for nurses.

It’s important while on the job that your shoes are slip-resistant, and this pair has excellent traction even in wet environments. You also don’t want liquids (or needles) to get through the tops of your shoes, and the sturdy leather keeps both at bay. The other great part about the leather upper is that it’s easy to wipe clean should anything unwanted end up sloshing onto it. And the no-mark soles? Those are just a bonus!

Plus, if you happen to have bulkier feet, you’ll like that these wide nursing shoes give you some extra breathing room. Then again, if you have narrow feet, keep in mind that you might need some thicker socks to make these work.

Because these are a clog-style, they’re easy to slip on and off and you don’t have to worry about laces coming untied. But, of course, if you don’t love the look of a slip-on shoe, these might not be your best bet.

They don’t get a full five stars because these are anything but cheap nurse clogs — the leather comes at a steep price. And if you need white nurse clogs for clinicals, you’re out of luck: These only come in solid black.

Despite the few negatives, the mixture of leather, memory foam and water/slip-resistance makes these great work clogs for nurses. You need something sturdy and comfortable, and these fit both criteria.
